10 Winter Essentials of 2021

Finding the right outfit to wear during the winter can be very difficult at times. With the weather being so unpredictable and unbearable to go outside, I personally don’t have the energy to dress up. Over the years, I have found different ways to still look cute but comfortable during the winter. In this blog post, I will be giving you 10 winter closet essentials that are a must have!

Last year, the teddy bear coat became very popular. It is the perfect mix of keeping you warm, but still being fashionable. During the winter season you can find these coats at any store like Shein, American Eagle, and Forever 21. I personally picked mine up from TJ Maxx.

Everyone loves a denim moment. All denim jackets are so versatile during the winter season, you can dress them up or down. Denim fur jackets are making their way back this season. I have seen so many people with this style of jean jackets. I picked up one from, yet again, TJ Maxx! I thought it would be perfect for my college years, to give me a stylish look when walking to class.

Sherpas are a great way to look cute, but still stay comfortable. They range from different styles; pullovers, zip-ups, and quarter zips. This is a must have in your winter wardrobe especially living in Maryland.

This winter season, shackets have become a must have in your closet. I unfortunately do not have one yet, but most of my friends have one. They are great for the more casual look while staying in or going out. They come in different variations, where you can wear them as a shirt or use them as a jacket. I will definitely be investing in one!

During this pandemic, loungewear has become a must have in everyone’s wardrobe. With online school there is no motivation to dress up nice. Everyone is living in their sweatpants and sweatshirts, so why not make the sweats cute? Matching sets are a great way to still look presentable while being comfortable.

You can never have enough sweaters in your closet during the fall and winter season. Sweaters are such an easy way to put an outfit together. I personally have too many sweaters to count, between all of the basics and then some staple sweaters. Sweaters are a must have during the winter season.

Turtlenecks have made their way back! A huge trend that has been used this winter season is layering. Many people have worn the turtle neck long sleeve shirts under graphic tees to spice up their outfits!

Bodysuits are so flattering on everyone, and really put an outfit together. There are so many various types of bodysuits: tank top, short sleeve, long sleeve, blouse, and more. Even though some might not be very comfortable, the saying is… beauty is pain.

Over the past year mom/boyfriend style jeans have become a very popular trend. In my opinion, these jeans are super comfortable and put together some really cute outfits. This is an essential item in one's wardrobe!

Hats are a must have during an east coast winter. Yes, hats are meant to keep your head warm, however, they can also be a fashion statement. A very popular hat this season are the Carhartt beanies. These beanies paired with outfits can really make an outfit look very edgy!
