Back to School Outfit Ideas

As we wrap up summer and begin to head back to school, whether in person or online many of us will be wearing sweatpants and baggy t-shirts but some will want to look put together during zoom calls. Therefore I wanted to round up some of this summer's biggest trends to take back to school.

Playing with Pattern

These blouse styled tops have been my new favorite thing this summer! This one from B boutique is my favorite and because of the smocked bottom it is so flattering and you can so easily dress it up or down. The spotted pattern on this one is so cute and I got so many compliments on it. I paired it with my favorite black jeans which I recently picked up from American Eagle and my Air Force ones to add a more street style touch.

Styling Basics

This outfit Elizabeth is wearing I love! The top she is wearing is amazing for when it is still warm out and you want to wear a tank but still follows dress code. She paired this top with white jean shorts from American Eagle and the cutest white espadrilles. My personal favorite part of Elizabeth's outfit was her butterfly earrings made by a local etsy shop!

Color of the Summer

Light purple has very quickly become one of this summer's most popular colors. I have been seeing it everywhere it seems. I can totally see it continue to be trending throughout the fall as I have already seen many light purple sweaters. Tabitha wore the cutest light purple top from American Eagle which if you are going back to school you could totally add a cardigan on top. She paired it with ripped jeans from Hollister and her air force ones.

Platform Shoes

Espadrilles are the go to summer shoe, last summer they became the shoe of the summer and this year followed right along. If you don't own a pair I would totally recommend it, you can get them from Steve Madden, DSW or even Target. And.. they go with everything! Ella wore her espadrilles with the cutest asymmetrical top from Urban outfitters which is also a big trend right now and a spotted mini skirt from Beginning Boutique.

Feeling Floral

I am convinced floral will never go out of style, each season you see them on the runway in new ways. Therefore floral have become timeless staple pieces. Sierra paired the cutest yellow floral off the shoulder top with jeans from Francesca's and Roxy flip flops. If your dress code requires it add a bralette or cardigan on top!

Vacation Finds

The best part of going back to school is going back with a tan and cute unique pieces you pick up at the beach! Today Gabby is wearing a look primarily from Quiet Storm Surf Shop in Ocean City. She paired a pink tank with more relaxed jeans and completed her look with her Air Force Ones.

Cute and Casual

Sometimes the best outfit is the most simplistic, Jordan is wearing the cutest white tank with tie straps from H&M. Paired with ripped American Eagle jeans and necklaces from Olive Lynn. This is the perfect back to school outfit. It is relaxed and you can easily throw a cardigan on top if needed.
