Friends Fashion Coming Back in Style

We can all list some of the most recognizable lines from the Emmy Award-winning TV show Friends. But what doesn't get much recognition is the iconic fashion choices that have shaped our fashion choices today.

Friends first aired in 1994 and within 10 seasons these girls had some of the cutest outfits that are still around and are coming back in our generation. Rachel, Phoebe, and Monica are three very stylish women.

Rachel Green

Rachel Green looks absolutely adorable in her most iconic dress. We wouldn’t be surprised if someone wore a stylish light green dress like Rachel’s to an event today. You can find the original dress that Rachel wore here. Green is definitely Rachel Greens color, in Season 7 Episode 4, Rachel rocked a green top with a black skirt that has green and white plaid.

Rachel loves wearing overalls and some of us may have found ourselves wearing some comfy overalls or mom jeans during quarantine. Forever 21 has adorable black overalls that you could buy to pull off this Rachel Green look. When you clean out your closet and find old clothes you might be surprised at what you can put together that may have been an outfit inspired by Friends. In Season 10 Episode 17 Rachel wore a white short-sleeve shirt with a black top, black boots, and a black skirt that can be put together as a simple and stylish Rachel Green outfit.

The go-to Rachel Green outfit is a faded, white, turtleneck with a red and black plaid skirt that Rachel wore in Season 1 Episode 19. There have been some people who dress up as Rachel for Halloween with this outfit along with white high socks that have two black stripes. Rachel and Monica

Rachel and Monica are like sisters, they wear and/or steal each other's clothes. The famous ‘Girls’ shirt was worn by Monica and Rachel at different times in Season 6 Episode 19. The shirt and sweatshirt is available on Amazon and Etsy

Monica Geller

Monica Geller looks amazing in any shade of red, red is definitely Monica’s color. You can find a dress like this here. The iconic red tank top, blue jeans, black purse, and black heels outfit is one of the most popular friends inspired outfits and it is seen in Season 3 Episode 6.

Monica wears a faded, green, button-down dress with flowers and a black dress with a blue cardigan. Floral dresses have never gone out of style but floral is usually popular in the summer. Everyone has one floral item in their closet, no doubt. Monica’s blue cardigan is light, airy, and trendy. This type of cardigan is worn today underneath tank tops styled with jeans and cute accessories. Romwe has a blue waffle knit cardigan that has a pretty bow tied in the front.

Phoebe Buffet

Phoebe Buffet has a very unique, bold, bohemian style but also changes her style to some of the more trendy outfits (still being herself) but spicing it up throughout the TV show Friends. Phoebe looks pretty in pink with her pink plaid barbie dress and pink earrings. Phoebe goes with more of her style with a red floral dress and layered necklaces.

Phoebe wears a monochromatic outfit wearing a tied chambray shirt with a white tank top underneath. In the front, she tied two ends of her shirt into a ball making her outfit more stylish. Lots of people still use this trendy shirt trick today. Little did we know that this has been around for generations and has stuck around for a while. Phoebe wears a green dress with flowers and white stripes along with a cute necklace and earrings.
