Let's be honest, fashion in the winter months is not easy. It’s hard to look cute and stylish while still trying to stay warm and bundle up. I don’t know about you, but I’ve always loved hats and beanies. I simply never had an opportunity to style them, until now! Hats and beanies are an awesome way to add your own touch to any outfit. Not only are they an easy and fun way to style your outfit, but will also help keep you warm. Need some ideas? Whether you’re heading out or staying in, Gabby and I styled hats in 5 different outfits to give you some inspiration!

LAYERS LAYERS LAYERS

Layering has been one of the most popular trends this year. In the winter, layering becomes extremely important for warmth. For this look Elizabeth and I both paired our winter hats with a nicer outfit, as if we were going out somewhere. I styled my hat with a sweater from Hollister, a black pair of jeans from American Eagle, my AF1s, and to top it all off a dark washed jean jacket from Macy’s. Elizabeth styled her hat with a turtle neck from Hollister, dark washed jeans from American Eagle, boots from Hunter Boots, and to top it all off a vest from North Face. Adding a simple winter hat to your going out outfit will provide you warmth and tie the whole outfit together!

COMFY… BUT CUTE

It is no question that these days everyone is dressing in their favorite sweatpants and sweatshirts. For me personally I am most productive when I feel that I am put together. Even when running errands I wanna look somewhat put together. For this style, I paired my winter hat with a lounge wear outfit that is not only cute but is comfortable. I paired the hat with joggers from Old Navy, a cropped long sleeve from Fabletics, and my AF1s. You get the best of both worlds when you dress cute and comfortable at the same time!

ATHLEISURE!

In case you haven’t realized, athleisure is all the rage this year. It’s one of the many ways to look put together yet comfortable at the same time, a constant theme amongst 2020’s fashion trends. I love to support my favorite colleges through my clothes, so it was only appropriate that I paired my Elizabethtown College beanie with my Elizabethtown College quarter zip! Both the hat and quarter zip are from the Elizabethtown college bookstore, the leggings are from Aeropostale, the socks are from Cabin Socks, and my shoes are Timberland's. I loved how this outfit turned out. It was comfortable, cute, and the hat tied it all together.

CAN’T FORGET ABOUT SANTA HATS

I couldn’t write this blog post without adding an outfit on styling Santa hats! Whether you’re celebrating the holidays in person or virtually, Santa hats are a great way to spread a little holiday cheer. It was only fitting that I paired my Santa hat with your classic ugly sweater. I got my ugly sweater from Boscovs , leggings from Aeropostale, socks from Cabin Socks, and shoes from Timberland's. The contrast of the neutral Timberland's with the bright Christmas colors helped the whole outfit pop. It was such a festive look and something I will definitely be wearing this holiday season.
